PLACER COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Designed to appeal to family audiences, Placer Repertory Theater offers a fun and interactive afternoon with their latest Storytellers Theater offering, Pinocchio, in which trained performers use improv & commedia to turn story reading into interactive theater and literary arts education at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Auburn Carnegie Library, 175 Almond St., Auburn.

With performances and material appropriate for students from grades TK through grade six and their families, audiences are engaged through participation in the storytelling from their seats or may volunteer to join the professional actors onstage to bring literature to life and encourage lifelong readers and learners.

“We’re excited to return to the Carnegie Library in Auburn to follow up our performance of Gingerbread Boy with our new, wonderfully creative sharing of the story Pinocchio,” said T.S. Forsyth, producing artistic director. "This is the first public performance of Pinocchio for family audiences, which is also available for booking into public and private venues.”
