Auburn, CA –
The Placer County Office of Education (PCOE) is pleased to honor Sutter Health, Lakeshore Learning and Tony Carmack of Placer County Libraries as part of the Gold in Education Partner Recognition Program.

The Placer County Office of Education places great value in community and business partnerships that advance our work to provide a globally competitive, comprehensive, rigorous and relevant education to all students we serve.

The Gold in Education Partner Recognition Program serves as an opportunity for the Placer County Office of Education to celebrate community and business partners that collaborate, sponsor or contribute significant resources to benefit PCOE programs and student populations.

"Community partnerships are the foundations of progress," says Placer County Superintendent of Schools Gayle Garbolino-Mojica. “The Placer County Office of Education is grateful for the generosity of our partners and their ongoing support of our local youth.”

The impact of these partnerships is felt deeply within the Placer County community. PCOE is deeply appreciative of our Gold in Education Partners for their collaboration, as highlighted below.

Sutter Health:

Sutter Health has demonstrated unwavering support and investment in improving the health and well-being of our school communities across Placer County. Their impact resonates deeply within our schools, from the establishment of vital school wellness centers to the implementation of the Handle with Care Program.

Additionally, Sutter Health’s steadfast support for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) initiatives has been instrumental in advancing our work to create safe, positive and equitable school environments.

“We are honored to be recognized by the Placer County Office of Education for our partnership over the past several years. At Sutter, we are so proud to have the opportunity to invest in our communities and are fortunate to collaborate with such fantastic and dedicated partners,” says Sutter Health Director of Community Health, Kelly Brenk.

“Together with the Placer County Office of Education, we’ve been able to increase access to mental health support to meet students where they are – on school campuses. This collaboration has had a ripple effect beyond just Placer,” continued Brenk. “PCOE has provided the technical support and expertise to use Sutter Health’s $1.5 million investment to expand the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) framework to schools across our footprint, helping improve students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success.”

Lakeshore Learning:

Lakeshore Learning has significantly partnered with PCOE Early Childhood Education in its efforts to serve the early care and education workforce. Lakeshore Learning supports PCOE by providing guidance and recommendations on learning materials that help to support high-quality learning environments where children learn and grow.
