AUBURN, CA (MPG) - Cinema at the State is screening "Deep Blue" at 7 p.m. April 9 at Auburn's Odd Fellows Lodge #7, 1226-1/2 Lincoln Way, Auburn CA. The event is sponsored by Jack and June Haugen.
In this cinematic rollercoaster ride, the whole family can join an epic voyage through aquatic realms where humans have rarely dared to go. Waddle with playful penguins, dart with lightning speed through schools of sharks, ride over stormy waves with massive whales and view rare alien-like creatures.
“Deep Blue,” sponsored by Jack and June Haugen, uses amazing footage to tell the story of our mysterious oceans and the life they support. Gray whales make their migratory journeys despite being menaced by killer whiles, while smaller fish struggle to stay alive. In the Arctic, penguins and polar bears endure the winter, while on beaches crabs emerge to feed. Meanwhile, five miles under the water, unusual forms of life thrive - many of them in places less explored than the moon.
