LINCOLN, CA (MPG) - On Dec. 13, Neva Parker delivered thousands of diapers and baby wipes to Lighthouse Counseling and Family Resource Center in Lincoln, following a successful community diaper drive held during Noche de Neva.
Lighthouse Counseling staff shared that their diaper supplies had recently been depleted this holiday season, and they were grateful for the delivery, which helped immediately restock their inventory for local families. Lighthouse Counseling and Family Resource Center is a nonprofit organization and a member of the National Diaper Bank Network, serving families with young children through direct support and family resource services.
“Helping families shouldn’t be a question — it should be a given,” Parker said. “No parent should have to worry about affording basic care for their child.”
The diaper drive was organized to help ease the financial burden on families during the holiday season, when the cost of childcare and essential infant supplies continues to rise.
