AUBURN, CA (MPG) - Get a jump on your Halloween season with a special, spooky “Golden Age Radio” on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m. State Theatre Acting Company’s (STAC) last radio show in their outdoor season presents three spine-tingling episodes sure to give the audience chills.

Relive or experience for the first time the most beloved and iconic radio shows from the 1940s and 50s. State Theatre Acting Company’s Golden Age Radio Theatre features talented actors, dynamic soundscapes from a live Foley (sound effects) artist and engaging narratives that will transport you to a bygone era.

This spooky show features several episodes by the master of suspense, Ray Bradbury, including “The Whole Town’s Sleeping,” “Marionettes,” and “A Date With Judy Returns.”

Bring your chairs, and enjoy! The venue is outside in the church parking lot as the weather allows. In case of poor weather, the event will move into the Church’s Overmiller Hall. This event is free to all and donations are gratefully accepted. Auburn State Theatre Concessions - water, cookies and fresh bagged popcorn – will be available by donation.
