ROCKLIN, CA (MPG) - Rib cook-off set to take place on June 29 at the Placer County Fair with the People’s Choice Champion Belt on the line.

The entry fee to compete is $200 per team, and ribs are provided to the competitors. Attendees receive a single rib from each team and have the opportunity to make their People’s Choice vote for the best rib.

Completed votes will be placed in piggy banks distributed among each team's booth.

Only 265 tickets are available—limited to two per transaction—costing $40 each.

Rib tasting and People’s Choice voting open at 1p.m. at the Grounds 700 Event Center Drive in Roseville. Results from both People's Choice and the judges of the competition are announced at 4 p.m. the same day.
