AUBURN, CA (MPG) - Sixteen wild mustangs, four men, one dream: to ride from Mexico to Canada, up the spine of the American West, to encourage adoptions of 50,000 wild horses and burros living in Bureau of Land Management (BLM) holding pens. This American story of rugged independence reveals the true interdependence of man, animal, and nature.
For this adventure reminiscent of the western frontier, a young Texas horseman recruited three friends and hatched an unprecedented plot to adopt, train and ride a string of mustangs 3,000 miles from the Mexican border to Canada through the wildest terrain of the American West.
Documented with spectacular cinematography, this epic journey is a soaring tale of danger and resilience, an emotionally charged odyssey that shines a bright light on the complex plight of our country’s wild horses.
A Q&A session presented by locals who have had successful experiences with adopting wild mustangs will follow the film. Unbranded is sponsored by The Station Public House.
