NOTICE OF INTENT

On Friday, August 20, 2021 Agency on Aging Area 4 (AAA4) will issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for organizations interested in receiving federal Older Americans Act (OAA) funding for the provision of services in Western Placer County.  This RFP only includes:

· Title III-B Supportive Services: Residential Repairs/Minor Home Modifications

The initial award will be for the balance of State Fiscal Years (SFY) 2021-22 and all of SFY 2022-23; it is renewable for SFYs 2023-24 and 2024-25, subject to availability of funds and satisfactory fulfillment of the terms and conditions of the service contract.  The SFY begins July 1 and ends on June 30.

The anticipated funding level is $50,000 annually, which is subject to change and contingent upon the availability of State and federal funds.

All Applicants must submit a “Letter of Interest” (LOI) which simply indicates they may decide to submit an application for funding. The LOI is MANDATORY; an Applicant that fails to submit a LOI will not be eligible to receive funding under this RFP.  The LOI must be received by AAA4 no later than Friday, August 27, 2021.  There are two ways to submit the LOI (please use only 1 of these methods):

All Applicants must participate in the Bidders’ Conference on Friday, September 3, 2021.  The Bidders’ Conference is MANDATORY; an Applicant that fails to participate will not be eligible to receive funding under this RFP.  The Bidders’ Conference will only be held via Zoom; there is no in-person gathering.  Zoom participation may either be in the form of video conference or telephone conference.  Additional details regarding the Bidder’s Conference (including the Zoom link and call-in numbers) will only be sent to those Applicants who have successfully submitted a Letter of Interest (LOI).

The RFP Timeline is available now on the AAA4 website at: agencyonaging4.org/rfp/  Beginning on the issue date (August 20), the complete RFP packet will be posted to the website as well.  Applications must be received by AAA4 by 12:00 Noon (Pacific Time) on Monday, September 20, 2021.  Late applications will not be accepted.
