SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) The California Constitutional Rights Foundation (CCRF), through the Law Firm of Bailey and Romero, has announced the filing of a lawsuit discussed at a press conference last Friday by Retired Judge Steven Bailey, Chief Counsel of CCRF, Retired Judge Gary Kreep, President and Senior Counsel of CCRF, and joined by Congressman Tom McClintock and Assemblyman Kevin Kiley in Roseville CA. The suit alleges that Governor Newsom has exceeded his authority under the California Emergency Services Act and has violated the constitutional rights of restaurant owners and their patrons.
Bailey said, “Today’s filing comes after Governor Newsom in a most vindictive manner refused to reopen Placer County. The issue here is not the virus but is whether the citizens of Placer County and the State of California will be permitted to be free by this Governor. This is a liberty issue, plain and simple.”
