Sierra College’s outstanding academic reputation, excellent technologies and training programs, and updated facilities leads to increases in student enrollment yearly as it continues to experience dramatic growth and change. Since its first day, 20 years ago, the promise of Sierra College, NCC in Grass Valley, has been to facilitate learning, inspire change, and build community. The Grass Valley campus continues its mission as it adapts to meet the ever-changing needs of students while promoting learning as a lifelong process. The future is bright as new technologies evolve, offering greater educational accessibility for students—both today and tomorrow, according to Executive Dean Stephanie Ortiz.

The campus has been celebrating its 20th Anniversary with a variety of activities, open to the public. It continues the celebration with a Marketplace and Food Court on the campus parking lot #6 on Saturday, September 17 starting at 8 AM with free parking and no admission.

The Sierra College Market will present 86 craftsmen and artisans from around the north state with an expansive variety of art and craft items including handmade bird houses, jewelry, handbags, clothing, woodwork, hand sewn items, candles, soap, blown glass, linens and textiles, yard art, and many gifts.

Northstate antique dealers will offer furniture, tableware, old jewelry, and other vintage items.

Direct sales representatives will offer women’s make-up, diet plans, self-defense items, jewelry, body products, clothing and much more.
